Transdermal: APP 5 & APP 6

For Transdermal Testing, QLA offers numerous, industry standard, traditional devices. Transdermal testing is carried out at 32° C to reflect the temperature of the skin.

For Apparatus 5, both Hanson style and Agilent/VanKel style patch retainers are available. The holder is placed at the bottom of the vessel, with the release side facing upwards, under a rotating paddle. Other variables such as the height and sampling requirements are the same as for USP APP 2. Our USP APP 5 accessories are compatible with all brands of dissolution baths.

For Apparatus 6, both the traditional Rotating Cylinder and optional Extension are available. The transdermal patch is fixed to the outside surface of the cylinder. Other variables such as the height and sampling requirements are the same as for USP APP 1. Our USP APP 6 accessories are serialized, come with a Certificate of Conformance (COC) and are compatible with most brands of dissolution baths.
